The Inspiration behind The Damsel Project

We hear "dress for success", we hear "dress for the type of job you want, not the one you have", and online all we see is cool-looking people that make us wish we looked more like them, but when you go to the store to purchase that cool garment that will elevate your style points, you notice it's missing something... or it's too expensive. Commercial stores are mass-producing clothes for everyone, but there's only one you.

At Damsel Project, we believe in the power of fashion to empower and inspire young individuals. Our workshops are designed to not only teach teens and young adults basic skills in design and garment construction, but to give them the confidence to express themselves through their unique sense of style. Our past events have been met with resounding success, and we look forward to continuing to provide a safe and welcoming space for young people to explore the world of fashion in an enriching and uplifting environment.

About the Workshops

Our fashion workshops are specifically targeted towards teenagers and young adults who are looking to experiment with their personal style or learn the basics of garment construction and design. We provide a variety of educational and interactive experiences, including sewing classes, fashion illustration, and upcycling old garments. Through these events, we hope to instill a love for sustainability in fashion, as well as introduce young people to a world of creativity and self-expression.
